Scott T. Sauer, M.D.
Board Certified Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle SpecialistDr. Scott T. Sauer graduated cum laude from the University of Notre Dame and received his medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine. He completed a residency in orthopaedic surgery from Drexel University College of Medicine, and then finished a specialized fellowship in orthopaedic foot and ankle surgery at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. After his fellowship, he returned to Georgetown University School of Medicine as faculty in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery.
Dr. Sauer’s experience is in caring for all conditions of the foot and ankle, which includes the treatment of athletes on the high school, college, and professional levels; reconstructive limb-saving procedures; bunions; and arthritis. Dr. Sauer has also been involved in international service work, lecturing physicians, training orthopaedic residents and medical students, and performing reconstructive surgery on underprivileged patients. He has authored numerous publications in orthopaedic journals and books.
Dr. Sauer is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery and the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society.
